Dear Parents,

Just a reminder that tomorrow's Open House is tomorrow night from 6:15 - 7:30pm.  This will be a chance for us to meet. I will go over some of the expectations and discuss possible high school options with you.  Please note that this is not an opportunity to ask "How is my child doing?", and discuss your child's progress. Once I have spent enough classroom time with your child, I will be contacting you if there are any areas of significant difficulty or concern.  We will have a better chance of discussing your child's process during the parent-teacher interviews on November 23rd and 24th, subsequent to your child's Term 1 Progress Report coming home that week. I look forward to meeting you!

If you are interested in the IB programs, both Alexander Mackenzie S.S. and Bayview S.S. will have their open house nights on October 17th. Please mark it in your calendars!  I will provide you more information as I receive it.

- Everyone should have gotten a JUNGLESPORT permission form today - PLEASE SIGN BOTH SIDES and return the form by OCTOBER 4th

8M - You need to hand in your 3 goals (academic, physical, social) - place in your folder in the filing cabinet
- Reading 20 mins
- Good copy of persuasive writing due Friday - thanks to those students who already handed it in!


HISTORY
- GRADE 7- We will continue working on jobs and hierarchy scale in 1665

- GRADE 8- We will be taking up the 2 worksheets and diving into chapter 2
